Dr. Indranil Sen-Gupta obtained his undergraduate degree in electrical engineering at Northwestern University in Chicago, and subsequently went on to complete medical school and Neurology residency training also at Northwestern University. He then did a two-year Clinical Neurophysiology Fellowship through the University of California, Los Angeles/West Los Angeles Veterans Affairs program, and joined the University of California, Irvine faculty in 2014, where he is Assistant Clinical Professor of Neurology. At UC Irvine, Dr. Sen-Gupta is actively involved in providing physician oversight of intraoperative neuromonitoring services at the Medical Center, and is also actively involved in the Epilepsy program, maintaining longitudinal outpatient Epilepsy clinics, performing pre-surgical evaluations of patients with intractable seizures, and interpreting routine and continuous electroencephalography studies for the Medical Center. He provides lectures to medical students and Neurology residents on Epilepsy-related topics throughout the year, teaches Neurology resident rotators on Epilepsy service, precepts a longitudinal General Neurology resident clinic, and rotates as General Neurology Wards teaching attending several weeks per year. Dr. Sen-Gupta has also served as director of the UC Irvine Clinical Neurophysiology Fellowship training program since 2017.
